Building a Women-Led Social Enterprise Ecosystem in Pakistan
The International SIA Summit 2.0 marked a significant milestone in advancing women’s economic empowerment and strengthening Pakistan’s social enterprise ecosystem. Organized by the Social Innovation Academy (SIA) in collaboration with Arweqah Alreyadah, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), UN Women Pakistan, and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), the summit served as a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action among key stakeholders committed to driving inclusive and sustainable development.
Held at the prestigious Mövenpick Hotel in Islamabad, the summit brought together social entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, development practitioners, academics, innovators, and youth leaders from across the country. Under the theme, “Building a Women-Led Social Enterprise Ecosystem in Pakistan,” participants explored innovative solutions, shared best practices, and identified opportunities to strengthen the ecosystem supporting women-led social enterprises.
Through keynote addresses, panel discussions, collaborative workshops, and networking opportunities, the summit highlighted the importance of financial inclusion, digital access, leadership development, market opportunities, and policy support in enabling women to thrive as entrepreneurs and changemakers.
The International SIA Summit 2.0 reaffirmed the power of collective action and cross-sector collaboration in creating a more inclusive, innovative, and resilient future. By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, the summit laid the foundation for stronger partnerships and meaningful initiatives that will continue to drive impact beyond the event itself.
