The Women Entrepreneurship Development Program (WEDP), an initiative of the Government of Balochistan, has successfully completed its two-week entrepreneurship training across multiple districts of Balochistan, reaching 500 women with practical business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.
Implemented by Social Innovation Academy (SIA) in collaboration with 360 Marketing, WEDP Phase I aimed to strengthen women’s participation in entrepreneurship by equipping them with practical tools to develop, manage and grow their businesses.
Throughout the training, participants explored key areas of entrepreneurship, including cash flow and cashbook management, effective pricing, Business Model Plans, the Business Model Canvas, business planning and risk management. They also learned strategies to overcome business challenges and losses, alongside practical skills in social media marketing, logo creation, customer attraction and brand development.
By bringing entrepreneurship learning to women across multiple districts, WEDP Phase I represents an important step toward expanding economic opportunities for women and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Balochistan. The programme supports women in transforming their business ideas into viable ventures and applying their knowledge within their local communities.
At SIA, we believe empowerment begins with knowledge and grows through opportunity. Through initiatives like WEDP, we remain committed to supporting women in building their entrepreneurial capacity and contributing to local economic development.
