With IOM: entrepreneurship training for refugee and host communities
SIA’s largest single UN service agreement to date: a 2.5-month programme for 150 people in 37 business groups across Balochistan, from August 2026 to May 2027.

In August 2026 the International Organization for Migration (IOM) awarded SIA its largest single UN service agreement to date: entrepreneurship training for refugee and host communities in target districts of Balochistan, from August 2026 to May 2027.
The programme
It is a 2.5-month programme for 150 people, organised into 37 business groups. It moves from community mobilisation to participatory training and mentoring, then to prototypes and business plans, a competitive pitch event and incubation support after the training, with co-working access.
Results are monitored and evaluated throughout, and will be published on this site when the programme reports.
Part of a longer thread
SIA has worked with refugee and host communities before, with 10-day microenterprise bootcamps run with GIZ and WESS. Programmes like these feed Ideate, the first stage of the SIA Pathway.
