One pathway, five stages: from first idea to investment
SIA’s programmes are now organised as one continuum, so that every changemaker can see where they are and what comes next.

For years SIA’s work was described through four pillars of past projects. That proved credibility, but it did not tell a woman in Khuzdar, or a student in Loralai, what to do next. The Strategic Plan 2026–2031 answers that question with one continuum.
The old pillars were microenterprise development, youth and STEM, ecosystem building and institutional advisory. They were a good record of what SIA had delivered with its partners. For someone standing at the start, with an idea and little money, they were a poor guide.
The five stages
- Ideate, for first-time founders: entrepreneurship training, the Business Model Canvas and micro-grants for the top 10%
- Incubate, for early ventures: 100-day sprints in four sector tracks with seed grants of PKR 100k–500k
- Accelerate, for revenue-earning enterprises: a 12-week growth programme covering market access, the KSA corridor and investment readiness
- Invest, for investment-ready ventures: the SIA Catalyst Fund and Pakistan Angels, with post-investment support
- Alumni for Life, for every graduate: mentoring, procurement linkages, reunions and the SENPak community
What each stage asks of you
Ideate is where most people begin. Sessions run at a hub or with a local facilitator, in Urdu or English. You work through the Business Model Canvas, pitch your idea, and the top 10% receive micro-grants. Ideate is free or subsidised for selected participants, and any fee is shown on the application before you submit it.
Incubate is a 100-day sprint for ventures that have started earning, or are ready to. It runs in four sector tracks: women-led enterprise, agribusiness and climate, crafts and creative economy, and education and health. You get a seed grant of PKR 100,000 to 500,000 and work in your sector track, delivered through SIA’s hubs.
Accelerate is a 12-week programme for enterprises with steady revenue. It starts with a growth diagnostic, then works on market access, including the corridor to Saudi Arabia through Bridge Pakistan, and on getting ready for investment.
Invest connects investment-ready ventures with the SIA Catalyst Fund and Pakistan Angels. The instruments include grants, recoverable grants and revenue-share, and support continues after the money arrives. Accelerate and Invest are launching under the Strategic Plan, so for now you can register interest.
Alumni for Life is for every graduate. It keeps you connected through mentoring, procurement linkages, annual reunions and the SENPak community, and it is where graduates become mentors for the next cohort.
No dead ends
If someone applies to a stage they are not ready for, they are routed back to the earlier stage that fits. Applications can be made in Urdu or English, online or on WhatsApp, or by sending a voice note in Urdu, Balochi or Pashto.
Being routed back keeps your application alive. A first-time founder who applies to Incubate too early is offered Ideate, where they build the plan Incubate expects. A strong Ideate graduate has a clear next step, instead of waiting for the next project to be funded.
One route, start to finish
The Strategic Plan illustrates the Pathway with one example, from a classroom in Khuzdar to markets in the Gulf. A girl in a Changemaker School spots a problem in her community and pitches a solution. Later, a 100-day Incubate sprint turns the idea into a working enterprise. Blended finance from the Catalyst Fund lets her hire, equip and grow, and Bridge Pakistan takes her products to buyers in Saudi Arabia.
It is an illustration of how the stages connect, and each step exists so that the next one is possible. The Theory of change page sets out how SIA expects each stage to build capability, capital or connections.
Find your stage
Not sure where you fit? The Pathway page has a two-minute check that suggests a stage, and each stage page lists who it is for, what you get and the steps. You can also message the team on WhatsApp and they will help you choose. Before you apply, How to write a strong application has practical tips.
