News: SENPak explained: Pakistan’s first social enterprise network

SENPak, the Social Enterprise Network Pakistan, is Pakistan’s first social enterprise network. It was launched at SIA Summit 2.0 in Islamabad in April 2026, organised by SIA with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. Here are answers to the questions people ask most.

What is SENPak?

SENPak is a national network that connects social entrepreneurs with peers, buyers and capital. At its launch it was described as a national digital platform connecting social entrepreneurs and investors, for collaboration, knowledge exchange and building the wider ecosystem. In short, it is where Pakistan’s social enterprises can find each other and be found.

Why does Pakistan need it?

Social entrepreneurs often work alone. A founder running a crafts enterprise in Quetta may never meet one running a clinic in Lahore, although they face the same questions about pricing, hiring, registration and finance. Buyers and investors who want to back social enterprises struggle to find them. A network shortens those distances, and shared problems are easier to raise with policymakers when many enterprises raise them together.

Who can join?

SENPak is for founders and teams of social enterprises: businesses that exist to solve a problem for people or the planet and earn money doing it. If you are unsure whether that describes you, What is a social enterprise? has five questions to help. Membership criteria and fees will be published on the SENPak page.

How does SENPak connect to the SIA Pathway?

SENPak is also part of the Pathway: SIA graduates stay connected to the SENPak community through Alumni for Life.

What comes next?

Under the Strategic Plan 2026–2031, SENPak grows into a membership association with:

  • A member directory, so buyers, partners and investors can find social enterprises by sector and region
  • A jobs and procurement board, where members can find staff and contracts
  • Local chapters, so members can meet in their own city or province

The target is 1,500 members by 2031. The number of SENPak members is one of the results SIA reports at the capital and ecosystem level, alongside capital mobilised and export revenue, on the Live Impact Dashboard.

Why would a buyer or investor use SENPak?

For buyers, the directory and procurement board are a way to source from enterprises that create jobs and income where they are most needed. For investors, the network offers a view of enterprises across the country, and a link to the SIA Pathway, where the strongest move on to Accelerate and Invest.

How do I join?

Visit the SENPak page to join or to register interest. Members can sign in through the SENPak Login link in the top bar of this site.

Is SENPak only for Balochistan?

No. SIA is headquartered in Quetta, with offices in Lahore and Islamabad, and many of its programmes run in Balochistan, but SENPak was launched as a national network for social entrepreneurs across Pakistan. Local chapters are part of the plan so that members can meet in their own city or province.

How does SENPak fit with SIA?

SENPak is part of SIA’s ecosystem work, alongside the SIA Summit, the Impact Startup Challenge, the SIA Catalyst Fund and Pakistan Angels. Under the Strategic Plan, SENPak is part of Pillar 3, Build the Ecosystem & Unlock Capital, alongside SIA’s capital vehicles, and it is growing into a membership association of its own.

How do I make the most of membership?

A network is only as useful as what members put into it. A few habits help:

  • Write a clear profile: what problem you solve, for whom, where you work and what you sell
  • Add photos of your products or work, with consent from anyone shown
  • Say what you are looking for, such as buyers, a co-founder, a mentor or a supplier
  • Answer messages from other members, even briefly
  • Share what you have learned: a supplier you trust, a funder’s deadline, a mistake to avoid
  • Keep your contact details current and say which languages you work in, so buyers and partners can reach you

How can partners support SENPak?

Companies, donors and institutions can help the network grow by sponsoring chapters or events, posting jobs and procurement opportunities, and introducing members to buyers. Start a conversation through Partner With Us.
